    Good reproduction of the type 56 chest rig. Quality of manufacturing is good and material is durable feeling canvas, excluding the oiler pouch, which is some nylon feeling material with rubber lining. Comparing this to my surplus chest rig, reproduction doesnt have any markings on the back and doesnt have extra loop inside cleaning kit pouch, but otherwise this is a very good reproduction. Steel, plastic and bakelite AK-47 magazines fit very well. Straps have elastic keepers instead of original leather loops, which I think is an upgrade.

    I dont think there is any reason to buy surplus, because this is as good and cheaper without risk of getting mouldy example, other than collecting.
